Support Letter

Dear friend,

I would like to share with you an amazing opportunity God has provided for me this upcoming spring break. I will be going on a medical missions trip to the African nation of Sierra Leone with a group of doctors, nurses, and other volunteers. Dr. Robert C. Hamilton, M.D., of Pacific Ocean Pediatrics annually organizes this trip through Lighthouse Church in Santa Monica. While in Sierra Leone we will run free clinics in various locations during the day and host nightly evangelical rallies to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The majority of the population in Sierra Leone is Muslim, and most of them have never stepped inside a church or heard of Jesus Christ. Health and poverty statistics for Sierra Leone are amongst the worst in the world. Most of the population survives at a subsistence level and cannot afford the most basic medical needs. Our team is committed to bringing relief to their physical needs as well as their spiritual needs.

By the grace of God, the Lighthouse Church has raised enough funds for all the medical supplies needed for the trip. However, each volunteer must provide $2,600 to pay for transportation, documentation, boarding, and food for ten days while in Sierra Leone.

This is where you come in. God has given me this wonderful opportunity to further His kingdom by bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to a foreign nation. I want to share this joy with you by offering you an opportunity to get involved. Would you prayerfully consider partnering in this ministry by supporting me financially? The full cost of the trip must be paid by March 9, which is fast approaching. I would appreciate any financial support you can offer.

Above all else, please keep us in your prayers. Please pray for our safety, health, and effectiveness, pray that the Lord will win lost souls for His kingdom, and pray that God will be glorified through all this.
